About Us

A house that only gets better with time.

Occupied by the same family for close to four centuries, our house presents modern comforts and blends stylish contemporary decor with timeless charm. Recently redesigned by renowned interior designer Jeffrey Bilhuber, member of Architectural Digest's Hall of Fame and author of five books on interior design, the house is set amidst 62 acres of enchanting gardens and grounds.

Nestled between the charming landscapes of Dorset and the rich history of Somerset, our location offers the perfect blend of natural beauty and cultural heritage.

A Rich Heritage

Newton Surmaville enjoys a proud history dating back to the medieval times when the first occupants occupied the site. The house has mainly been lived in since then by the Harbin family, who have done an amazing job at preserving the Estate. Most recently they intrusted their home to renowned interior designer, Jeffrey Bilhuber who has transformed it into what you see today.
